London Buses route 167 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Ilford and Debden station, it is operated by Blue Triangle. ==History== Route 167 commenced following World War II between Barkingside and Loughton station. On 11 October 1950 it was extended to operate as Ilford station to Loughton garage. The Loughton section of the route was extended on 17 October 1951 to incorporate the newly built London County Council housing estate. Upon being put up for tender, on 24 May 1986 the route passed to Eastern National. On 29 July 1990 it passed to Thamesway.〔(Route 167 ) ''londonbusroutes.net''〕 Upon being re-tendered, on 7 March 1992 the route passed to Grey-Green..Upon being re-tendered, it was retained by Grey-Green with anew contact commencing on 8 March 1997. Later it was transferred to fellow Arriva subsidiary Arriva London. Upon being re-tendered, on 9 March 2002 route 167 passed to Docklands Buses.〔 It was included in the September 2006 sale of Docklands Buses to Go-Ahead Group.〔(Go-Ahead annual report 30 June 2007 ) Go-Ahead Group plc〕 Docklands Buses retained when re-tendered with a new contract commencing in March 2007.〔(Bus tender results Route 167 ) Transport for London 6 July 2006〕 The route was later transferred to fellow Go-Ahead London subsidiary Blue Triangle.
